As a co-owner in care, the Director of Residential Services (DRS) has a terrific opportunity to positively impact the lives of our clients by providing visionary leadership over our support service operations.  The Director of Residential Services is responsible for providing support to our team of Regional Directors representing operations in 14 Wisconsin Counties.

    Primary duties of the Director of Residential Services include: 

    • Ensure high value services to our clients and funding partners by promoting and validating that Company standards are consistently practiced across the company.   
    • Monitor performance indicators and pursue methods to quantify our quality resulting in a consistent and desirable value proposition for stakeholders.
    • Mentor the Regional Director team and foster the development of bench strength within field operations teams to promote retention and succession planning efforts.    
    • Provide leadership in collaborative planning efforts with the Regional Directors related to continuous improvement, execution of operating budgets, managing human capital and changes related to growth and re-design of region operations.
    • Develop effective communication within the team and across company departments to optimize implementation of business efforts.
    • Serve as a change agent through the project management of major companywide initiatives.
    • Contribute to the fiscal wellbeing of the Company by monitoring fiscal performance of the Regions, forecasting future influences, and responding to shifts in the funding environment.    

    The Director of Residential Services, while leading the team of Regional Directors, will initiate a high level of collaboration and diplomacy across a wide array of departments within HIL and MyPath, our parent company.  The Director of Residential Services reports to the Executive Director, who reports to the Chief Operations Officer.      


    Qualified individuals must possess:

    • Five (5) years of work experience overseeing the operation of multi-site community based residential supports, plus
    • Two (2) years of supervisory experience. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate management experience in the Human Services field required. 
    • The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs, must possess a high level of initiative and possess the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
